These days, comparisons are everything. At every turn, it seems like there’s not only an endless amount of products and services for any possible situation, but an endless number of sources comparing said products and services in search of finding out which one is better. This is true largely of everything, but especially in the business world, when there is a never-ending number of products and services dedicated to helping your business run better. As a business owner, this is, in theory, great, but it can also lead to a lot of stress and confusion. After all, if you’re looking to the internet to find things like payroll services or HR software, it’s likely that you not only need a good solution that fits your needs, but you also need something quick—there’s not a lot of time to be coming through thousands of hours of content.

At Payday HCM, we understand these concerns very well. Every day, our clients, as well as those who aren’t currently our clients, ask us questions about what payroll, HR, or benefits services would best suit their needs. It’s a tricky question to answer and, as we stated earlier, is one that can often yield multiple answers. Given how often we receive these kinds of questions, we wanted to ensure that every business had easy access to the resources they would need to find the answers. And, in this search, you may find yourself stuck between two different answers: in this case, Payday HCM or CoAdvantage.

So, in this article, we’ll be doing a side-by-side analysis of both Payday and CoAdvantage’s services to determine which is better for your business. We’ll mainly be focusing on four different categories:

In covering these four aspects for each service bureau, we’ll provide you with information on the kinds of businesses that would benefit most from either company’s services. By the end of this article, you’ll have a better understanding of what both companies have to offer and enough knowledge to make the most informed decision for your business.

Payday vs. CoAdvantage: Payroll Services

First up, we’ll start with a side-by-side comparison of Payday’s and CoAdvantage’s payroll services.

CoAdvantage Payroll Services

CoAdvantage’s payroll services seek to help businesses with each step in the employee journey, from hiring and onboarding to payroll processing and PTO tracking. Their proprietary CoAdQuantum HR software platform can help companies keep track of their payroll processes in one system.

CoAdvantage services cover payroll processing and check printing as well as tax filing, PTO tracking, E-Verify services, garnishment processing, and more. CoAdvantage also operates as a professional employment organization (PEO), meaning it can provide HR and benefits services in addition to payroll.

Payday HCM Payroll Services

Payday’s payroll services aim to give businesses everything that they need with nothing that they don’t. Our focus lies not only in ensuring that our clients’ payroll is processed accurately and in a timely manner, but that they have access to the assistance they need, when they need it.

When it comes to our payroll services, clients work with a designated customer service representative responsible for taking care of whichever services are required. Payday also offers other additional services in addition to payroll processing, including time tracking and scheduling, earned wage access (EWA), tax filing, and compliance assistance.

Payday vs. CoAdvantage: HR and Benefits Services

Next, we’ll dive into how Payday’s and CoAdvantage’s HR and benefits administration services compare to one another.

CoAdvantage HR and Benefits Services

CoAdvantage’s HR services allow businesses to work with their certified human resources consultants to help take care of a variety of different HR-related tasks, including hiring and onboarding, EEO-1 reporting, and labor law compliance. Businesses can manage the different aspects of their HR operations through their proprietary CoAdQuantum platform.

On the benefits side, CoAdvantage’s benefits administration allows businesses to offer their employees health, dental, vision, and life insurance plans through partners like MetLife and Kaiser Permanente. Their benefits services also include other ancillary and fringe benefits like employee assistance programs and a health savings account.

Payday HCM HR and Benefits Services

Payday’s HR services aim to help businesses tackle a variety of HR-related issues, with a focus on HR consultation and legal compliance. With a team of HR professionals and the isolved software platform, businesses can cover every aspect of HR operations. Payday can also assist with the creation of physical materials like handbooks and labor posters.

When it comes to benefits, Payday’s benefits administration gives businesses access to a dedicated benefits coordinator who can help customize a benefits package that is the right fit for your organization. While Payday’s benefits services are a part of Payday’s services as a whole, the benefits department also functions as a separate entity, meaning Payday can tackle every part of your business’s benefits administration.

Payday vs. CoAdvantage: Customer Support and Experience

Up next, we’ll go over how the customer experience and customer support vary between Payday and CoAdvantage.

CoAdvantage Customer Support

With CoAdvantage, clients can receive support through a few different methods, whether that be over the phone, email, or through resources available in their CoAdQuantum HR software platform. These resources are available through the client support page located on their website.

CoAdvantage’s website also features a number of other online resources that can help clients work through any possible issues they may be having. Their online blog features a number of different articles on a variety of topics as well as an FAQs section for any potential clients with questions surrounding CoAdvantage’s service model.

Payday HCM Customer Support

Payday HCM features a variety of different options when it comes to receiving customer support. Payday’s commitment to offering support from real customer service representatives means most client support would take place over the phone or in person for local clients. Email support is also available.

With Payday’s partnership with isolved, clients will also have access to isolved’s support network for any software-related issues that may arise. This includes access to the isolved website and a large amount of online resources, as well as over-the-phone support.

Payday vs. CoAdvantage: Pricing

Finally, we’ll go over the question that we’ve all been waiting on: how Payday’s and CoAdvantage’s pricing compares to one another.

CoAdvantage Pricing

CoAdvantage’s pricing is largely built around four different services: payroll, benefits, risk and compliance, and HR software. In order to find out the exact pricing for the solution that is best for your business through CoAdvantage, you’ll need to request a quote or consultation.

One program that CoAdvantage offers to help businesses potentially lower the cost of outsourcing these kinds of services is their business referral program. Organizations that refer others to CoAdvantage can receive invoice credits for their referral if they become CoAdvantage clients, with cash offered to the referring employee.

Payday HCM Pricing

Payday’s pricing is built with a similar structure, with individual pricing packages available for payroll, HR, and benefits services. Payroll with time keeping starts at $9.60 per employee per month, plus $133 a month. HR and benefits services will vary more depending on what services you select, although HR consultation generally averages about $145 an hour.

Like CoAdvantage, in order to receive more information on the exact pricing for a service package that works best for your organization, it’s best to schedule a meeting with one of Payday’s payroll experts. They’ll help you decide what services are best for you and find the best pricing option available.

Compare Options With Ease and Find The Best Solution For Your Business

Trying to decide between multiple options for anything is tricky business, let alone trying to decide on which HCM service bureau is the best fit for your company. There are so many different factors involved and so many different options that the process can often feel more overwhelming than just trying to perform those core operations yourself. Ultimately, though, as stressful as the process can be, it’s vital that you take the time to ensure whichever bureau you select is the best one for your organization. With the information provided in this article, we hope that you’ll be one step closer to being able to do that.

Finding the right service provider—whether that be for payroll, HR, benefits, or some combination of the three—can be one of the most important decisions you make as a business. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re transitioning from one provider to another, making the right choice is crucial in ensuring your business not only operates smoothly, but that you can continue to focus on the core operations of your business.
